Garbo's Cuban Lover is a suspenseful dramedy of the Golden Age of Hollywood, exploring the glamorous and secretive lives of two of the era's most celebrated divas, Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich, and their love affairs with the enigmatic Mercedes de Acosta. The first meeting of Garbo and de Acosta, a New York socialite, screenwriter and poet, took place in 1931. What followed was a passionate and obsessive love affair that spanned a lifetime, occurring simultaneously with several other escapades in the glamorous worlds of Hollywood, New York and Paris. This reimagined version of the acclaimed play from writer-director Odalys Nanin includes newly added scenes, music and media, all of which come to light at West Hollywood's Macha Theatre.
