Five Mile Lake looks at what happens to people who stay in a small town and those who go away. It's the story of Jamie, who enjoys a quiet life in his Pennsylvania hometown, where he fixes up his grandfather's old lake house and pines after Mary, his troubled coworker. When his brother comes back to town with a new girlfriend, Jamie's peaceful world is turned upside down.
