A present-day hero's quest to right history's wrongs, as 18 year old Dontrell Jones III feels that it is his duty and destiny to venture into Atlantic in search of an ancestor lost during the Middle Passage. His family is not at all ready to abandon its prized son to the waters of a mysterious and haunting past. Blending poetry, humor, and ritual, the play explores the lengths and depths we must go to in order to free ourselves from the misdeeds of our personal history.
