Los Angeles-based dance company Versa-Style brings hip-hop to The Broad Stage. With Box of Hope, they push the boundaries of traditional hip-hop dance in order to share the realities of their lives, experiences and struggles within the varied and infinitely complex political and personal landscapes of their diverse community. The work creates new language to give voice to the urban demographic in an uplifting, inspiring performance that leaves audiences with a sense of optimism for the future.
