In this music-filled solo show directed by She's Gotta Have It star Tommy Hicks, ER's Montae Russell brings the legendary sax man -- widely considered one of the greatest jazz musicians of all time -- to dazzling life. In addition to his peerless skills on the saxophone, "Bird" was an innovator in improvisation and a founder of bebop jazz, and was known for his creative use of extended harmonic structures. Bird Lives! explores and celebrates Parker's trailblazing achievements in music.
