Inspired by true events, Stephen Sachs' lively comedy paints a wry and winning portrait of Maude, an unemployed bartender living in a trailer park, who believes the artwork she bought at a thrift store for $3 is really an undiscovered Jackson Pollock masterpiece worth millions. When a renowned art expert arrives to evaluate the work, the two embark on a fiery debate over class, culture and the true meaning of authenticity. This original Fountain production, which has traveled as far as London's West End, returns for a limited engagement.
