Bad Jews

Bad Jews

Geffen Playhouse
10886 Le Conte Avenue Los Angeles

Daphna Feygenbaum considers herself a "real Jew" -- the most devout in her family -- while her cousin Liam is a self-described "bad Jew," complete with a shiksa girlfriend. When the two arrive in New York for their Holocaust-surviving grandfather's funeral, they instantly butt heads in a savagely funny battle royale over a cherished family heirloom. Written and developed by playwright Joshua Harmon and directed by Matt Shakman, Bad Jews comes to the Geffen Playhouse following a run as one of the most acclaimed comedies of the past New York theater season -- hailed, in fact, as "the best comedy of the season!" by The New York Times. Jewish or not, you're sure to see your own family in the midst of all the comic mayhem of Bad Jews, starring Ari Brand, Molly Ephraim, Lili Fuller and Raviv Ullman.
